I fondly remember my mother making this recipe in the 70’s!
- 5 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1/4 Cup Dry Red Wine
- 1/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 1 1/2 Pounds Top Round London Broil, 1 1/4″ thick
1.Mix together all ingredients, except top round. Combine top round with marinade in a plastic bag. Marinate at least 4 hours and up to overnight in the refrigerator. Remove from refrigerator about 1/2 hour before cooking.
2. Remove steak from marinade. Heat a large, heavy skillet over high heat. When the pan is hot, sear the steak on one side for 4 to 5 minutes. Flip and sear the other side for 4 minutes. Remove the steak from the pan and let it stand on a cutting board for 5 minutes. The steak will continue to cook. Slice diagonally against the grain into 1/4-inch slices.
